Main entrance gateway to Barracks. 1899-1904 by E.Ingress Bell. Portland stone and
wrought and cast iron. Pair of rusticated stone gate-piers to main entrance carriageway with
moulded caps, surmounted by ornate wrought iron lanterns and with pair of iron gates;
flanking quadrant railings on stone dwarf wall with terminal piers similar to the gate-piers
but without lanterns; on the right [west] a foot gateway.
