House, formerly chapel. Dated 1842. Ham stone coursed rubble with ashlar dressings; double Roman clay tiled roof
between stepped coped gables; brick chimney stack. Two storeys, 2 x 2 bays. East elevation has semi-circular arched
windows with plain ashlar surrounds, at upper level, that to bay 2 now blocked; below, a C20 casement to lower bay 1,
blink bay 2; between bays a semi-circular arched doorway, with C20 boarded door, above which is a plaque incised 'Bible
Christi Chapel MDCCCXLII*, On north elevation are 3-light plain mullioned windows, the upper with segmental pointed
ashlar relieving arches; additional C20 window inserted lower left. Interior not seen. The group of Bible Christians
founded here in 1826 used this chapel, called Zion, from its construction until about 1882; date of conversion into
house not known. (VCH, vol III, 1974).
