GV II

House. Late C16/C17 with C18 and C20 additions. Timber framed with whitewashed
rubblestone plinth and cladding to ground floor, whitewashed brick and render
to exposed frame above, plain tiled roof. Four framed bay house across rear
with parallel range to front left, C20 gabled bay to right of centre and C19
wing projecting to front left to form L-shaped plan. Two storeys with
corbelled end ridge stack to right, tall multiple C17 corbelled stacks to left
of centre on rear range. One leaded casement window to first floor of parallel
range, two first floor diamond-pane casements on old range set back to right.
Two ground floor windows to right. Gable to right of centre jettied over cove,
with one first floor and one ground floor window. Pentice roof across left of
centre with C20 ribbed door in flanking light underneath. Half-hipped and
gablet wing to left with two first floor and three ground floor casements on
the return wall. Right hand return front gable end - two first floor windows
and thin bracing. Ogee struts over queen-post roof. Rear - Diagonal and
curved tension bracing, irregular fenestration. Single storey weatherboarded
range of buildings at right angles to projecting front wing of no especial
interest.
