Farmhouse. Circa early C17, extended and front wall partly
rebuilt in late C19. Plastered timber-framed, stamped
herringbone pattern pargetted panels and wavey bargeboards on
south gable end and evidence of pargetting at rear; front wall
partly rebuilt in brick. Pantile roof with gabled ends.
Brick axial and gable-end stacks.

3-room plan. Hall and parlour on right (south) heated from
back-to-back fireplaces in axial stack, the left (north)
service room may have been unheated originally, but in late
C19 it was extended northwards by a bay with a large gable end
fireplace and the front wall was partly rebuilt. The outshut
behind the service end is probably also C19.

1 storey and attic. Asymmetrical 3-window front. 2-light
casements with glazing bars, ground floor in segmental arch
openings, attic in gabled dormers, left hand with remains of
bargeboards. Doorway to the left of centre with panelled
door. Short extension on left with lower roof, large brick
stack on gable end and one casement. At rear two 2-light
casements with glazing bars and lean-to outshut on right.

Interior: Timber-framing exposed. Parlour and hall have
back-to-back fireplaces with timber lintels, parlour chamfered
with runout stops, both with C19 fireplaces inserted. Parlour
has chamfered axial beam with runout stops and chamfered
joists. Hall has chamfered cross-beam without stops and
chamfered joists. Service room to north has chamfered cross-
beam with hollow step stops and chamfered wide joists, later
partition inserted and end wall removed for kitchen extension
which has fireplace with range and flanking boiler. C19
stairs inserted in service end. Service end chamber has small
diamond-mullion window in original north gable end. Wall
plates, jowled posts and stud exposed in chambers, but roof
ceiled. Existing clasped purlin roof may not be the original.
