Gate piers and gates. Probably 1878 by Austin, Johnson and Hicks. Sandstone
ashlar piers; gates of wrought and cast iron. 2 square piers with chamfered
bases have abacus below corniced top with brattished coping. Double vehicle
gates have slender cast-iron uprights, with leaf finials, and slender principals
with shepherd's-crook finials; Gothic arches formed between these by curved wrought
strips. Top hinged loop fastening.
