House. Late C16, reduced in size and altered late C17, altered C20. Timber
frame, plastered. Thatched roofs. 3 bays with an end stack, originally
probably 3 cells extending further to left. 1 storey and attic. Entrance in
probable cross-entry position, now slightly to left of centre, architraved
door with hoodboard, glazed and pantiled lean-to porch, flanking 2-light
casements, three 2-light gabled dormers. Left end is all C17 brick,
whitewashed with an internal axial stack. Right end C17 external stack
tapering to cap, pantiled brick oven outshut towards front, exposed plates,
weatherboarding behind stack. To rear 2 clay lump and pantiled lean-to
outshuts. Interior: frame largely concealed, cross axial binding beam in
original 'hall' to left had arched braces from posts, 1 removed, an arched
brace from corner post to rear mid-rail, stop chamfered fireplace bressumer, a
4-light diamond mullioned window in attic, clasped purlin roof.
