Manor house, a rectory in the C19. Probably aid C18, rebuilt c1813 for Rev JA Stephenson. Ashlar and some roughcast,
slate roof, coped verges, embattled and pierced parapets, ashlar stacks set singly and in groups of 2 and 3. Gothick,
very irregular frontage. Two storeys; 4:1:1:1 bays, 3,4 and 5-light stone aullioned windows, each light with a foiled
head, stopped labels; fourth bay in an elaborate canted bay window, shafted with pinnacles, leaded lights to ground
floor, traceried sash windows to first floor; further single storey canted bay to left, casements with glazing barsi
small octagonal turret to right corner of frontage with pinnacles. Buttressed porch with shafts, cusped ogee-headed
door opening, half-glazed door with quatrefoil panels. Conservatory to left in conforming style, pierced parapet with
pinnacles, large window openings with cusped heads. Interior with co-eval staircase. (Hopkins, Lymplesham, 1983).
