Tomb of Sir Horace Jones

GV II

Table tomb on feet. c1887, designer unknown. Stone with
granite and stone base. Stepped, rectangular base, the granite
step with chamfered edges. Rectangular tomb having inscribed
top and resting on ball feet at each corner; sides with Gothic
fringe and inscriptions. Sir Horace Jones was
architect-surveyor to the City of London and designer of Tower
Bridge (with another), and Billingsgate, Smithfield and
Leadenhall Markets.
