II

House. c.1770, with early C19 extension. Colourwashed stucco
with ashlar plinth. Hipped slate roof with modillioned eaves
cornice. Single red brick stacks to front and right. C18 front
of 3 storeys, 3 bays. The outer single bays are 2 storey bows
each with modillioned cornice which extends over the single
central bay and forms a pediment over the first floor opening.
Central doorway with 6 fielded panel door and decorative
overlight. Either side are single pilasters with fluted imposts
extending to form a frieze. Over the pilasters are single fluted
brackets each with single patera which support a modillion and
patera pediment. Either side in the bows are 3 glazing bar
sashes divided by single pilasters. Above in each bow are 3
similar smaller sashes with pilasters with single central glazing
bar sash. Above in the outer single bays are single paired
glazing bar sashes. To the right with the same roof line is the
2 storey, 2 bay C19 wing with 2 low glazing bar sashes and 2
similar smaller sashes above. To the left set back is a 2
storey, 2 bay wing with single sash on the ground floor and 2
similar sashes above, that on the right being gabled over, all
under segmental arches.
