House. Datestone 1678, altered C19. Coursed limestone rubble; slate roof;
brick stacks. U-plan. 2 storeys and attic; 5 bays. Symmetrical front with
gabled projecting bay at each end. Central doorway with square stone hood and
C19 double door, part glazed. C18 casement windows of 2 lights with wood
lintels on either side, and 3 similar windows in centre of first floor under a
continuous C17 stone hood. Date plaque, 1678 above central window. Dormer
with coped gable on kneelers has pinnacles and 2-light wooden casement with
square stone hood. Side wings each have early C19 sixteen-pane sash windows on
ground floor, 3-light wooden casements with C17 stone hoods on first floor and
attic. Coped gables on kneelers with pinnacles. C17 gabled porch at rear, 2
storeys, has doorway with square stone hood and above a 2-light wood casement
window with square stone hood. Interior: remodelled C19 has C17 staircase with
flat balusters.
