Two cottages, formerly a bakehouse, now a shop and offices.
Early C18. Limestone rubble painted to the front, freestone
quoin to the left, architraves and plinth; plain tile roof
half-hipped to the right. 2-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; one-window range. Cyma-moulding to
central doorcase and stone mullions to 3-light windows with
leaded casements to the right of both floors. To the left, a
C19 one-and-a-half storey symmetrical shop front has a
dentilled cornice to the fascia which is flanked by consoles
supported by fluted pilasters. The door and overlight are set
back. The right return has C20 windows.
INTERIOR: rough axial beams to both floors have exposed
rafters, though most are C20 additions.
Contemporary with No.19 (qv) with which it shares a roof.
