14/10069 Tunnel ventilation shaft to north of number 9, The Woodlands


Ventilation shaft tunnel for former Swannington to Leicester Railway line. 1830-32. Designed by Robert Stephenson. Burnt blue engineering brick with ashlar coping. Slightly tapering circular shaft about 3 metres high with domed iron grill. No 9, The Woodlands not included on the list.
