The New Inn

GV II

Inn. Mid C19. Painted stucco with shallow-pitched slate roof
and central brick ridge stack. Double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 2-window range. Rusticated raised quoins
and lintel bands; raised surrounds to 8/8-pane sash windows to
the upper floors, 6-panel door glazed to the top to the left,
single-storey canted bay with C20 glazing to the right.
INTERIOR: altered.
One of a group of houses in New Road built after the arrival
of the railway in 1840-41.
