Two houses with shops on a corner site. Mid C19. Painted
stucco, continuous slate roof hipped to the left-hand corner
with rendered stack to party wall. Double-depth plans with a
canted bay to the corner of No.12.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; each building 3-window range. Rusticated
chamfered quoins to the angles; continuous plain eaves band
and moulded 2nd and 1st-floor sill string courses. Pilasters
flank 3/6-pane sash windows to the 2nd floor and 6/6-pane
sashes to the 1st floor which have cornices on consoles. C20
shops.
INTERIORS: of ground floors are altered.
Prominent corner site.
