Bank on curved corner site. c1900. Irregularly-squared grey
Plymouth stone with Ham Hill stone and granite dressings,
hipped slate roof, no stacks. Double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 3-bay 4-window range. Ham Hill stone
frieze, cornice and blocking course, continuous moulded sill
string courses; fascia and cornice to the ground floor. The
corner bay is stepped slightly forward with an open pediment,
paired plate-glass windows to the upper floors over
double-3-panel doors in a high semicircular rusticated arch
with a huge keystone, flanked by granite Doric columns on
dados.
Bays to the sides are also stepped forward with plate-glass
sash windows, one to the left-hand range and 2 to the right.
Moulded Plymouth stone jambs and granite lintels and sills to
C20 windows to the ground floor.
INTERIOR: includes modillion cornice to the ground floor. A
building of robust architectural quality, included for
townscape value.
