Two town houses with later shops. Early C19, or C18 remodelled
early C19. Stucco on rubble with keyblocks and moulded parapet
cornice broken forward over plain end pilasters; asbestos
slate to front roof, rear roof grouted scantle slate with
one old raking dormer; brick end stack on right. Double-depth
plan. 2 storeys; 5-window range. Original 12-pane hornless
sashes. Ground-floor left (No.50) has unusual deep-projecting
late C19 shop front with quadrant corners and canopy over
fascia; other shop front, also deep, is probably a C20
remodelling of an older one. Central doorway has 2-panel
fanlight over C20 door. Rear has one original sash and one
later horned sash. INTERIOR not inspected. Included for group
value.
