Town house, later a pair of shops. Probably C18, remodelled
early C19. Stucco on studwork; dry slate hipped roof; brick
end stack on right. Deep plan including rear wing on left.
3 storeys; 3-window range. Late C19 paired 2-pane horned
sashes. Ground floor has rare pair of early C19 shop fronts,
the left-hand shop front (No.31) with fairly small panes;
No.30 with smaller panes with thinner glazing bars and
quadrant plan clasping corner on the right; squat moulded
entablature with fascia jambs with corner blocks and roundels;
original overlights, later doors; ope (passage) doorway
between shop doorways. INTERIOR not inspected. The early C19
shop fronts are exceptionally complete and early examples of
their type.
