House, now shop. Early C19 facade to C17 building. Render over
brick with timber-framed core and plain tiled roof. 3 storeys,
main elevation to Mardol a 2-window range. Inserted early C20
shop front with central recessed doorway and continuous
fascia, with hood over, carried on console brackets. Upper
windows are tripartite sashes, with glazing bars removed to
first floor. Angle quoins, plain parapet eaves. 2 wide bays to
return elevation to Smithfield showing 2 phases of building.
INTERIOR: timber-framed partition walls and roof structure
with king post and collar trusses, and at least part of the
external wall structure survives.
