Formerly known as: Sawdust House THE GREEN.
Cloth mill, now 3 flats. Late C18. Coursed limestone rubble
with limestone dressings, gable stacks and stone slate roof.
Single-depth plan. 3 storeys; 5-window range. A symmetrical
front has quoins, coped gables and an ashlar plinth, a central
doorway has a wide elliptical-arch with C20 door and margin
lights. Paired stone mullioned windows in flat surrounds with
angle beads to 8-light casements. Metal plates to wrought-iron
ties at first- and second-floors. INTERIOR not inspected. An
example of early workshop cloth manufacture. See Nos 8 & 9
(qv).
