GV II

House. C17, altered late C17, remodelled internally late C20.
Limestone rubble and dressings, ashlar gable stack and pantile
roof. 2-room parallel plan, originally with large heated room
to left of small unheated service room.
Single storey and attic; 2-window range. Central Tudor-arched
chamfered doorway, single right-hand and 3-light left-hand
stone-mullioned windows with reserved chamfers, all with label
moulds; quoins. Metal casements with turn buckles; two C19
gabled dormers. Gable has timber lintels and small attic
window to the left of the ashlar stack.
INTERIOR: altered late C20.
Remodelled in late C17 as one of a pair of C17 houses in
similar style and under the same roof, the other being No.8
Qarr Barton, included under No.4 Market Hill (qv).
