2 town houses, now offices and radio station. 1794, the upper
2 storeys a facsimile addition, late C19, with C20
alterations. Red brick, with ashlar dressings and plain tile
roof with side wall stacks.
Plinth, sill bands to lower floors, modillion eaves cornice.
Symmetrical front with slightly projecting central bay. 4
storeys; 5 window range. Windows are mainly glazing bar sashes
with moulded architraves. Central tripartite sash with
pseudo-balustrade and pediment, flanked by two 12-pane sashes.
Above, similar fenestration with 9-pane sashes and without the
central pediment. Above again, a smaller tripartite sash with
bracketed sill, flanked by two 6-pane sashes. Ground floor has
in the centre 2 original Ionic ashlar doorcases with
pediments, with round-arched openings containing glazing bar
windows. Between them, an inserted round-arched doorway and
fanlight. To right, two 12-pane sashes, the right one a
replica. To left, a similar window, then a C20 vehicle
entrance.
