Stables approx 15m SW of Jenkin's Farmhouse

Working horse stables. Circa early C18. Limestone ashlar. Roof reclad in corrugate asbestos sheets, but retaining stone finials to the end gables. Small rectangular plan stables with entrance at centre of front and hay loft above. One storey and loft. Symmetrical 3-bay south front has doorway at centre with chamfered jambs and large stone lintel with hoodmould; chamfered windows to left and right with hoodmoulds; gabled loft doorway in roof to left. Ventilation slit in either gable end, the east widened. Later lean-to at rear [N].
INTERIOR: plastered walls. Unchamfered floor beam and joists with hay-drop at back. Hay-rack, manger and stall partitions removed. Collar truss with staggered purlins.
