Detached farmhouse. Early C17, modified. Local lias stone cut and squared, Doulting stone dressings; doublee Roman clay
tile roof between stepped coped gables; brick end chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Plinth, continuous ground floor
string course: ovolo moulded mullioned windows of 3-lights to bays 1 and 2, 4 lights bay S, all without labels: between
bays 2 and 3 a moulded cambered-arched doorway with boarded door in deep recess: later lower extension on east side
with half-hipped roof and a 3-light copy mullioned window below. On west gable a projecting chimney stack with offsets,
Interior not seen, but reported are scroll-stops chamfered beams and 4-panel beamed ceiling at west end; east room of
first floor has plaster rib ceiling with Tudor roses and frieze having pegasus decoration: tie-beam roof trusses. (VAG
Report, unpublished SRO, 1982).
