Farmhouse. C16 core refurbished in C19 and C20. Plastered cob on rubble footings;
rubble stack topped with plastered brick; thatched roof. Much altered 3 room and
through passage house facing south with service room at right (east) end. Gable-
ended stair block to rear of hall, probably C17. Service rooms and stores added to
left, beyond inner room, in C18 and C19. Axial stack at upper end of hall and rear
lateral stack to service room. 6 window front comprising C20 casements of varied
size and irregular disposition. Front passage door towards right end has overlight
and C20 gabled and glass-sided porch. Secondary C19 plank door into former inner
room left of centre. Roof is gable-ended to left and hipped to right. Interior
has C19 and C20 fittings, probably hiding earlier features. In hall and inner room
exposed cross beams with soffits hacked back. Roof of mostly C18 and C19 trusses
but includes one C16, smoke-blackened side-pegged jointed cruck over upper side of
passage.
