Pair of houses. Early C19. Red brick, red pantiled roofs. Three storeys, five bays. Northfields to east has single ground floor and two first floor and two second floor sashes with glazing bars. Elaborate wooden doorcase has fluted pilasters, Ionic capitals, entablature with frieze dentils and cornice. Northgate House, three bays has one ground floor, three first floor and three second floor sashes with glazing bars. Wooden doorcase with same details as to Northfield, wider proportions, with two leaf door with raised and fielded lower panels, upper part glazed with margin lights, rectangular fanlight with upright and opposed swag metal glazing bars. Dividing the two houses a boarded cart entrance with segmental rubbed brick arch head. Two end and one axial stacks. Returns of clunch and flint.
