C17-C18 timber-framed and plastered house. On the front, in the centre
of the upper storey there is a date panel inscribed, with the initials 'T'
above 'L.S' and the date 'July 25 1759'. The front is lined as ashlar.
Two storeys and attics. Two window range. C20 casements on the first storey
and one double-hung sash with glazing bars and a C19 shop front on the ground
storey. There is an early C19 doorcase with fluted pilasters ornamental
frieze and a dentilled cornice, at the south-west end. Wings extend to
the rear and one of them has an original chimney stack with diagonally set
shafts. Roof tiled, with a large square chimney stack at the rear.
