House of C16-C17 origin but largely altered in the C18 when it was refaced
in red brick with a parapet on the south-west and north-west fronts. Some
timber-framing and plaster at the rear. One:two:one window range on the
south-west front, the end bays of one window range project slightly on
the front with hipped roofs behind the parapet. Three window range on
the north-west front. The windows are mainly double-hung sashes with glazing
bars (some are 3-light). A porch projects on the south-west front with
plain Tuscan columns and a broken pediment. Roof tiled, with 4 flat headed
dormers on the south-west front. (RCHM 7).
