House, subsequently public house, now shop with storage above.
Early C16, altered C18, C19 and C20. Timber-framed, refronted
with brick C18, now whitewashed and with underbuilt jetty.
Steeply pitched old tiled roof replacing C19 Welsh slates in
1970s, when 2 casement box dormers removed.
2 first floor nearly flush set windows with glazing bars and
moulded architraves. Ground floor has exuberant early C20
shopfront, set beneath former jetty, with twin curved bays
flanking central entrance. Stucco stallriser. Timber-framed
windows, with moulded glazing bars, transoms and moulded
curved tracery. Curved plate glass windows in corners. Above
transom level is leaded light upper panel, with obscured
glass, and coloured motifs. Glazed entrance door with glazing
bars, and C20 fascia. Internally a 3 bay structure, with a
crown post roof, and originally gabled on the street frontage.
In C19 was The Crown and Anchor Public House.
