3/38 Street Lane Farmhouse.

Formerly tollhouse now farmhouse: early C19 with C20 alterations and
extensions. Washed and rendered brick with hipped Welsh slate roof
with central chimney of 4 joined diamond shaped stacks. 2-storey,
symmetrical 3-bay front. End bays have 2-light wooden casements.
Central bay steps forward under gable, and has a rectangular stone
doorcase with C20 glazed door under a gabled hood oversailing on
wooden brackets. Similar 2-light window above. To left is C20
lean-to extension (in keeping) .

Stands on the Macclesfield-Hazel Grove turnpike that was modified in
the early C19.
