9/315 The Sugar Loaves

GV II

Public house. C16 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Exposed
timber frame with plaster infill. Hipped red tiled roof. Right, left and
centre red brick chimney stacks. Two storeys. Three window range of small
paned vertically sliding sashes, that to ground floor left a C19 flat roofed
oriel. Central and right plank and muntin doors in plain surrounds, approached
by steps. Halved wall braces. C17 leaded window with pightle hooks to right
return. Brick faced rear wing. RCHM 41.
