7/47 Cottage approx. 30m. SE of
Victorian Lodge

House, formerly 3 cottages. Early C18. Probably originally timber-framed, now
rendered brick with thatch roof and C19 blue brick stacks to ridge. One storey
plus attic; 3-window range. C19 plank door within plain wood surround and C19
moulded wood hood with small gable. C19 two-light casements to left, centre and
right of ground storey, with small 2-light casements to dormers to centre and
right. One bay extension to right. House rests upon a rendered plinth and is
decorated with applied imitation timber-framing. C20 extension to rear and
lean-to extension to left. Interior: chamfered beams, some with stops. Roof is
said to have original timbers, some of which are visible in the attic storey.
