Loft and stable to
south of Sandy Carr

Loft, byre and stable. Late C18. Sandstone rubble with quoins and ashlar
dressings; pantiled roof with stone gable copings. 2-storey loft and byre of
2 bays; one-storey, 2-bay stable at right.

Byre has Dutch door at left under flat stone lintel, and hit-and-miss opening
at right under similar lintel; side steps to first-floor loft door at extreme
right, and buttress between that and hit-and-miss. Stable has flat stone
lintel over Dutch door to right of centre, small square window at left under
similar lintel; square window at right under eaves. Low-pitched roofs.
