L-shaped building, divided into two houses. The south west wing (Hillside Cottage)
is C17 or earlier. Two storeys and attic. Two windows. One dormer. Ground floor
red brick, above tile-hung. Tiled roof. Casement windows. The north wing (Paygate
Cottage) was added in the early C19. Two storeys. Four windows facing north east.
Ground floor stuccoed, above tile-hung. Tiled roof. Sash windows with glazing
bars. Fretted gable in centre of north east front similar gable end to south east.
