4/44 Gate piers to Lyme Park

II

Gate piers: Upper parts late C17 moved and altered c.1860. Ashlar
sandstone. Plain square piers on moulded feet above square bases.
Flat capstones with moulded cornices support urns on plain 4-legged
base. Urn is tightly encrusted with carved foliage and has tightly
bunched floral contents.
