3/63 Holly Lodge

II

Lodge. Early C19. Possibly by William Wilkins. Whitewashed
brick. Slate roof. Left gable and single ridge red brick
stacks. Dentil eaves. 2 storeys, 2 bays. 2 tripartite
casements on each floor, all with Gothick glazing bars. To the
left is a single storey, 3 bay wing with 2 similar casements and
single central doorway with large C20 glazed sliding double door.
To the right is a single storey single bay wing with plain tile
roof and single tripartite casement. Built as a gate lodge to
Holme Pierrepont Hall for the Manvers family.
