II

Farmhouse. Mid C18 with early C20 additions to left and right. Painted
brick with plain tile roof. Lobby entry plan of 2 rooms and stack bay,
with single-bay C20 addition in similar materials and style to left.
2 storeys and attic on stone plinth. Plain brick eaves band. Hipped
roof. Rear stack to left and ridge stack towards right (central to
original building). Three C20 hipped dormers. Irregular fenestration
of one 3-light C20 casement to left. Original building has two 16-pane
glazing bar sashes in open boxes and small central 4-pane sash. French
doors in canted bay beneath central stack of original building.
Datestone WM between 2 right-hand first-floor windows. 2-storey
1744
C20 recessed addition to right. 1650 datestone from a cottage formerly
adjoining the house re-used in left gable end. Interior: exposed beams
and joists. Inglenook fireplace with jack. Stairs between stack and door.
Boarded and panelled rooms, one with corner cupboard.
