1885. Single storeyed stucco front of 5 bays, comprising 4 rectangular openings
for shop windows with a narrower archway at the second bay (from the South)
and footway. A plain low block parapet has a raised central feature in the
form of a lettered panel with a pediment above and supporting scrolls on each
side. A large cornice moulding (including bold dentils, has a plain frieze below
and an architrave barrel of carved and coloured 'fruit' ornament; this design
being repeated as pilaster strips between the openings. Plate glass windows
and plain doors. Slate roof. This structure is prominent and links listed
buildings. The facade masks a later C20 three-storey building of no interest.
