Shop with offices. C16, C17 additions, C19 refronting, C20
refurbishment. Timber-framed and plastered, peg and clay tiled
roofs, red brick stack. Rectangular plan of street range and 2
short conjoined rear wings. 2 storeys and cellar. Front E
elevation: 2 window range, hipped roof, stack behind ridge at
S end, ashlar lining. First floor windows, moulded
architraves, sashes with glazing bars, 4x4 panes, ground floor
C19 double fronted shop, central doorway, now C20. N end
canted round to C19 doorway to No.11. Door of 6 panels. Cellar
grilles in pavement S of shop doorway. Rear W elevation: twin
gabled rear wings, rendered to S with half hipped roof. Ground
floor, 2 plain C20 doors, one C19. Sliding sash window with
moulded architrave 4x3 panes, one C20 casement window 2x3
panes. C20 French windows, total 4x5 panes. First floor two
3x4 paned sash windows, one per unit.
INTERIOR: some timber framing exposed with first floor
wall-plate showing diamond mortices of double 3-light window
on first floor at rear of strteet range, now enclosed. Later
C17 stack with back-to-back timber lintelled fireplaces on
ground floor.
