Pair of semi detached houses. Early C19.
Solid, rendered walls. Slated roofs with red ridge tiles;
lean-to at No.11 has corrugated-asbestos roof. Red brick
chimneys with round red pots on left side walls; chimney at
No.12 partly rendered. Smaller red brick chimney with round
pot on right-side wall of No.12. Double-fronted, probably
double-depth plans.
3 storeys with single-storey lean-to at each end. Symmetrical
3 window fronts. Ground storeys rusticated as far as moulded
sill band in second storey. Round-arched doorways in centre,
the jambs chamfered, with bar stops at the top. No.12 has
original 6-panelled door and fanlight with radial bars. Sash
windows throughout. Barred sashes in all windows at No.12, but
only in the 2 outer second storey and middle third storey
windows at No.11; six panes per sash, except for 3-paned upper
sashes in third storey. Moulded board below the eaves.
Lean-to altered at No.11, with small added projection in
front. Original lean-to at No.12, including the rustication; 2
windows, a 2-paned wood casement (with later ventilator above)
to left, 4-paned sash to right. INTERIOR not inspected.
