Pair of houses in row, with shop. C16 or C17, with C18 front.
Timber-framing, painted Flemish bond brickwork (47) or
rendered (48) front, tile roof. A small-scale building, with
2-room front parallel to street.
2 storeys with attic, 1+1-windowed. 2 small 2-light gabled
dormers, above a 3-light replacement casement and a
replacement sash. No.47 has at the ground floor a C19
four-light window, with to the left a glazed door on one stone
step. No.48 has a C19 shop front with recessed central door,
in pilasters with consoles, and cornice. No stack is visible
from the street. The back has 2 close-set gabled wings, with
replacement windows. INTERIOR not inspected.
