17/59 Norr Fold Farm Barn

GV II

Barn. Late C16 or early C17. Timber-framed with early-mid C18
stone cladding. Thin coursed rubble, dressed quoins. Stone slate
roof. 5 bays, single aisle. Segmental-arched cart-entry set in
aisle. Inner lintel is deeply curved timber which may be re-used
cruck blade. Doorway with deep lintel and double tie-stone jambs
with chamfered surround to right (blocked).

Interior: Posts on padstones with convex braces to tie-beams and
arcade plate. Good oak roof with king-post trusses with single-
angle struts.
