House; late C17. Timber-framed with C18 alterations. Formerly a farmhouse, 2
storeys and attics. Rendered, plain clay tiled roof. Some C18 cruciform
casement windows, fielded 6-panel entrance door with flat canopy over. Late
C18 semi-octagonal two-storey bay window with flat roof having coved cornice
and moulded fascia. Axial cruciform chimney. An C18 wing projects towards the
street. St. Giles Cottage is an early/mid C18 rear wing, formerly part of
Church House. 1½ storeys, attics, axial chimney. Timber-framed, rendered,
with gambrel roof having plain clay tiles. Some C18 casements, 2 boarded
entrance doors with pedimented pentices on brackets.
