7/96 Nos 55 and 56
House, now two semi-detached cottages. Mid C18, altered C20.
Painted render over rubble stone, chamfered stone quoins, tiled
roof, brick stacks. Two-storey, 5-window south front. Central
planked door in cyma-moulded surround with flat stone hood on
brackets to No 56 with 2-light cyma-mullioned casement and 2-light
wooden casement to left, No 55 to right has two 2-light mullioned
casements. First floor has five 2-light cyma-mullioned casements.
Attached to right is C20 two-storey addition to No 55 in similar
style. Rear has concrete mullioned casements, to No 55. No 56
has gabled wing with 2-light casements.
Interior retains some original joinery.
