1/155 The Old Malthouse

II

House. C17/C18. Ashlar front, plastered first floor and
rusticated to ground. Sides and rear are rubblestone. Stone
slate roof, wing to right is hipped. Ashlar stacks. L-plan. 2
storey, 3 window front with one window projecting wing to right.
Central Classical porch and 6-panelled door. 12-pane sashes.
Plat band to top of rusticated ground floor. Panelled frieze,
cornice and plain parapet. Wing to right has rusticated ground
floor and plat band and one 20-pane sash to both floors. No
parapet, but hipped roof with one hipped dormer and small ball
finials. To rear of right wing is late C17 range; rubblestone of
2 storeys and attic. 3 windows are 2 and 3-light ovolo moulded
mullions and some cyma moulded mullions. Rear of left range has 2
sashes. Flat roofed C20 extension to rear not included.
Interior not inspected. House has been subdivided into three
occupations.
