Originally called the Pavilion Cinema. 1923, Frank Verity. L-shaped building.
Red brick with raked Joints, stone cornice and parapet. Projecting wing to
left has a large round-headed window at first floor and entrance to ground floor
with late C20 facia to right. Recessed wing in 2 sections, the lower breaking
forward, with 2 tiers of small windows and pierced stone parapet. The upper
section set back with 2 lunette windows and a barrel-shaped roof. The interior
has been reconstructed. Awarded RIBA Bronze medal.
