GV II

House, gable end to street, dated in gable, 1625 with initials RS. Coursed
rubble with quoins, and ashlar bands. Stone tiled roof. 2 storeys, 2
sections to facade, a slightly lower bay to left, with a 3-light ovolo moulded
mullioned window to each floor, and some quoins suggesting another blocked
opening to ground floor. The higher main range is of 2 bays: original
doorway to left, now blocked and incorporating a window. A 3-light casement
to each floor beyond with chamfered timber lintels, then a new projecting
porch, and to the right, another blocked door or window and a 3-light casement
with chamfered timber lintel. Coped gables. Brick axial stack and on left
hand gable, moulded stone stack to right. In gable wall, a 2-light ovolo
moulded mullioned window with hoodmould.
