Detached house. Late C18, altered C19. Ashlar with hipped slate roof.
2 storeys and cellar at left. 2 bays: 16- and 12-pane glazing bar sash windows.
6-panel door in angle to rear. Said to be the home of William Smith, the Father
of British Geology, who lived here whilst engaged in the construction of the
