Row of three brassworker's cottages, now two cottages. Probably c. 1760's for
William Champion's brassworks. Coursed rubble with pantiled roofs and later
brick stacks. L-plan with No. 28 facing towards the west. 3 storeys. Two
2-light casement under segmental heads on the ground and first floors; voussoirs
over the ground floor windows. C20 doors to right of Nos. 26 and 27, both under
segmental heads; No. 26 has a C20 porch. No. 28, the west facing rear wing,
has two windows; C20 French window and porch on ground. These houses, and Nos.
29-34 (q.v.), are unusual as 3-storey houses in a rural setting and are also
early examples of workers' housing.
