Built as the church of St John and St Basil, 1910, by Arthur S Dixon. Small scale
Romanesque building in red brick with pantile roof. West end with apse to match
that at the east end flanked by doors beneath little pantiled lean-to roofs within
tall arched recessed with patterned brickwork in the tympana. In the gable above,
2 couplets of small arched windows. To the right, a gabled bell turret with 2
arches in it, one above the other, the bell missing. Interior of 4 bays. In the
apse, a mosaic of Christ flanked by Saints John and Basil. The screen and pulpit
still in situ.
