GV II*

Detached House. Late C17. Lias stone walls. Clay tile roof with stone
gable-copings. C2O brick stacks at left hand gable, left of centre and
right hand gable. 2 storeys and attics. 5 windows, 2-light stone mullions
(ovolos). No labels. C19 iron casements with 2 horizontal glazing-bars
to each. 2 dormers, with slate sides. 2-light leaded casements with
weatherboarded gables. Front door at centre, formerly right of centre,
wooden with 4 glass lights. Stone porch, recently transported from Yeovil.
c. Late C18. Tuscan pilasters and columns carrying a plain Tuscan
entablature, with flat tread roof on top. South gable wall has deep 2-
light mullions, C19. Interior: C17 mid-chamfered ceiling-beams, not
visibly stopped. Stone flags, some of blue lias. Inserted stack and
fireplace, left of centre.
